I was making a beaded basket to put a large bead in, but didn’t have anything suitable of the right colour, so went to Hobbycraft to get some fimo to make a bead.
Here is it almost finished, when the tread snapped as I tried to tie it off 
grrrrrr.
I also ended up getting lots of beads.
Some Coats cotton basting thread 49p, some Snazz facepaints for £1.99 each (Teal & metallic blue)
