This is such an easy thing to do, I have made bread almost everyday since December 2006!
500g flour (i always use strong organic flour)
300ml warm water
2 tsp dried yeast (or 20g fresh yeast – you will need to activate it first)
Put dry ingredients in a bowl, make well, add wet ingredients, stir, knead for about 10mins. Put in a greased tin or split into 8 for rolls. Rise till doubled in size. Cook on 200C for 10-20mins (rolls) or 30mins (loaf).
As above, but allow to rise, knead again, and then put in tin.
After a while you can reduce the kneading time, as you will get better at it.
You can also double or triple the amounts, cook for less time, and freeze, get out freezer and cook as needed.
You can add interesting oils, seeds, grains, flakes, nuts, herbs. Use different combination of flour add Malted flour, Wholewheat Flour, or even up to 10% of Atta (chapati flour).
You can put excess dough in the fridge overnight, and use the next day.
