Eldrich 2010 is a bottle conditioned cider made with mixed apples – Bramley type apples were collected from Thrupp and Stroud Town, & mixed eaters & cookers from Cranham. The apples were collected between the 1st November & 5th November 2010, scratted using a sterilised ryobi garden shredder and pressed using a homemade press.
The original gravity was 1052, the final gravity was 1.000 making the alcohol content by volume 7.3% (calculator) (inc .5% for priming sugar)
The cider was bottle conditioned on the 20th August 2011, with the addition of 3g of organic golden granulated sugar. Other than this 3g of sugar, there have been no additional ingredients (no added yeast, added sugars or sweeteners, no added water), it is made with 100% pure apple juice and only 3g of sugar per bottle to bottle condition.
106 bottles were made, which will be ready for drinking after the 15th October 2011.
