Lucy 2010 is a bottle conditioned cider made with mixed apples from 2 small orchards in Hucclecote, collected on 23rd October 2010, scratted using a centrifugal mill at Westley Farm, Stroud and pressed using a mobile press at Westley Farm.
The original gravity was 1050, the final gravity was 1.000 making the alcohol content by volume 7.1% (inc .5% for priming sugar)
Fermentation was slow to start, so a Gervain 10 yeast was added.
The cider was bottle conditioned on the 22nd April 2010, with the addition of 5g of golden granulated sugar. Other than this 5g of sugar, the only additive was 1 pkt of GV10 yeast, it is made with 100% pure apple juice, yeast, and only 5g of sugar per bottle to bottle condition.
56 bottles were made, which will be ready for drinking after the 18th June 2011.
