Lynne 2010 is a bottle conditioned cider made with mixed apples – Bramley type apples were collected from the Lansdown and the Thrupp areas of Stroud, various types including bramley type and russets were collected from Blakeney, and a cider apple was collected from Upleadon. The apples were collected between the 25th -29th October 2010, scratted using a sterilised ryobi garden shredder and pressed using a homemade press.
The original gravity was 1053, the final gravity was 1.000 making the alcohol content by volume 7.4% (calculator) (inc .5% for priming sugar)
The cider was bottle conditioned on the 5th June 2010, with the addition of 5g of organic golden granulated sugar. Other than this 5g of sugar, there have been no additional ingredients (no added yeast, added sugars or sweeteners, no added water), it is made with 100% pure apple juice and only 5g of sugar per bottle to bottle condition.
106 bottles were made, which will be ready for drinking after the 31st July 2011.
